Sennheiser
Sennheiser is a German audio equipment manufacturer renowned for its high-quality microphones, headphones, and wireless audio systems catering to both consumer and professional markets.
They provide a variety of hardware companion apps, including ‘Smart Control,’ which allows users to manage and customize the settings and additional features of their wireless headphones.
I was tasked by Sennheiser to enhance the user experience of ‘Smart Control’ and to redesign their design system to align with the brand's audio equipment.
Comprehensive overhaul of user experience for smart control and new design system for Sennheiser's mobile apps.
In collaboration with Sennheiser's team, we have strategically prioritised both existing and new features based on key criteria aligned with Sennheiser's objectives. To define the scope, we utilised extensive analytics and gathered customer feedback. This process also led to the development of innovative features like 'Smart Services,' which have the potential to generate excitement among users.
To enhance the user experience, we undertook a comprehensive restructuring of the information architecture and developed a new user interface system. The result is a more intuitive, personalized, and seamless app that significantly improves usability.
Users can now easily access essential features such as battery status, the last known location of connected hardware, and customizable profiles. Additionally, users have the option to configure helpful extras like ‘Smart Services’ and equalizer settings to further tailor their experience.
The interface style has been meticulously redesigned to align with the distinctive look of Sennheiser hardware. This new aesthetic has been encapsulated in a design system that will serve as a foundation for all future Sennheiser applications, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable brand experience across the board.

To thoroughly test the redesigned user experience and present it to Sennheiser's leadership, I created a clickable high-fidelity prototype. This prototype closely mimics the final product, allowing for accurate testing of user flows, interactions, and visual design elements.
